sorry meant to say i have done that and orriginally it collected alot of water but the expansion vessel and pressure relief valve have now been changed and it no longer collects water

have so far searched all rads - under floor boards of hall and bedroom - any visible cieling etc and pipe outside - it is deffinately not coming from that (anymore!!)

scatmanjohn - i asked him the same and he said it would still draw off the cold water feed?????

also anyone know of a good plumber in birmingham!

sorry about new thread thought seen as it was a new topic should restart but i will take note in future. if i dont have a diverter valve what the hell is going on with boiler!!! he turned the cold feed off to boiler and pressure stayed up when he turned it on again it started dropping

we have had an ongoing problem and the expansion vessel and prv have been changed as water was leaking out of pipe out of wall however that has now stopped but we are still losing pressure this is made worse when we are showering (its an electric shower), or running taps etc and the plumber...

i apparently need a new diverter valve because the pressure drops when cold water is run. just wondered how much people charge as i have been quoted £220 for the part i have a ferroli modena 80e

sorry should have made it clearer the pressure rises and falls on the guage but it keeps losing pressure so i wondered if it was the guage not reading accurately as i have had vrious parts changed and leaks fixed

on the ferroli modena 80 e could my pressure gauge be faulty rather than a problem with the boiler?

ok update - no longer is there water coming from pipe outside however my pressure was ok fro 24 hrs as suspected and then dropped to just above 0 in a matter of hours now so i guess prv and expansion vessel now working - couldn it just be the pressure gauge is faulty as nothing is leaking

holty, yes they did put a towel rad in - could this be the problem? kingfisher - the ev was barnd new so surely the pressure on it should be ok or does it stil need checking?

thanks. i'll ask my plumber as he changed ev but i would hope he did!! not sure if its relevent but all this as seemed to happen once we got boiler serviced and our bathroom redone - but this could just be coincidence
