    Troubles with mixing spirit wood dye

    Hi i've tried mixing 2 different colors of spirit based wood dye (medium oak and golden pine, same make) but when i mix 2 in a container, some of it turns into 'jelly'. Does anyone know why it's happening? should be happening? i want to dye some oak. Many thanks for you help.
