    Front door material

    I'm hopefully having light oak effect uPVC windows and want a new front door as well. Was planning on having a matching composite door, but wouldn't mind a hardwood one. However, I'm getting very confused! What's best - solid or engineered? Can they be oiled - a lot of the sales blurb says...

    Removing very old 'vinyl' wallpaper

    The Mrs is having a hard time removing some kitchen wallpaper. The building is 1950's/60's, so it could go back that far, as there are many layers on top of it! She say's it's very plasticky, so won't soak, and there doesn't seem much point in getting a steamer. So, any ideas what it is...

    Roofing felt repair

    Hi, having found a small pool of water on the kitchen window sill, it seems the lower edge of the roofing felt has given up! It's clay tile on top, and only a single story, so easy to work on.... Just wondered what the best 'repair' method is (the rest seems OK, just the edge that's gone)...
