    Rusted Column Radiator - Fixable?

Hi All, Have a two year old column radiator where the paint was bubbling up/rusting over the past year. After picking off the cracked paint I've found the leak on the bottom of the blank valve (where the PTFE tape is, i put that on so it looks **** haha). Usually i'd just replace the radiator...

Connection of Eurosmart Grohe Basin Tap

Ok so i just tried and maybe im being stupid but when i push the tap tail adjuster in to the elbow is just falls/slides out as there is nothing holding it in, even when trying to use the 15mm compression nut and olive? I'm using a 15mm x 3/8 " bsp adaptor

Connection of Eurosmart Grohe Basin Tap

Those elbows may not be the exact same apologies. Below is a picture of the setup, the 15mm tail is still connected and in background you see the smaller Grohe tail

Connection of Eurosmart Grohe Basin Tap

Thanks for the reply there! I have the adapters as you posted in your first link however the old 15mm tails connected straight on to an Elbow as below https://www.screwfix.com/p/p801-05-elbow-15-x-15mm-2-pack/91568 So makes installing these a bit harder?

Vertical Radiator brackets - which ones?

Thanks very much all of you for the replies guys as i was totally lost! I purchased the Cup brackets before but they were 55mm wide rather than 50mm which i couldn't find but was told to use the clamp type brackets SFK mentioned. I'm going to have a look in B&Q to see if i can confirm the...

Worcester or Intergas? - Same Price

I was surprised that the cost was slightly higher for the Intergas. It was upgraded on the quote from a HRE 28/24 as i mentioned the Worcester quote was actually cheaper (both include Filter & Chemicals install) Both engineers seem to be great guys and really know their stuff. So no concerns...

Worcester or Intergas? - Same Price

Good point. There are 4 Intergas engineers in my city VS about 30 Worcester so you're right. Fro what i've read Intergas may be the better boiler technology wise but given its under warranty and i won't be in this house long enough to see the warranty out i think it'll be Worcester :)

Worcester or Intergas? - Same Price

Hi people, Looking for some help/opinions. I have two installers offering: 1) Worcester 28CDI boiler - 8yr warranty 2) Intergas Eco RF - 10 year warranty. Both are almost identical in price. I like the idea of Worcester support network but Intergas seems a good technology for a boiler. (Are...

Worcester 28 CDI Boiler in a 3 bed house?

Hi there, I've been quoted for a Worcester 28 CDI boiler installed for £1800 which I think is a good price? (straight swap) Originally the installer recommended the 30i but changed his mind. After looking at the specifications and outputs I've noticed that the 28 CDI has a lower output? Will...

    Worcester Boiler 28CDI?

This was my thinking, there is only one person within a 100 mile radius that supports intergas. Worcester have a number of accredited installers and engineers to support their boilers which as a person who is not in the know, is important.

    Worcester Boiler 28CDI?

    Worcester Boiler 28CDI?

They will be installing the Nest thermostat that i bought a year ago at the same time as the boiler. Did have a look at the wave but given i've already got the nest felt i better use it :)

    Worcester Boiler 28CDI?

Ah this may have been what it was! does seem to ring a bell but was quite a lot to take in over a quick phonecall! Perhaps it is the filter plus some form of cleansing chemicals? Either way it does seem a lot to extend the warranty by 1 year to 8 years instead of the standard 7 i was quoted for...

    Worcester Boiler 28CDI?

Hi people, Looking for a bit of advice on two points before having a new boiler installed. First off on which boiler to go for. I have been quoted for a Worcester 30i but was told that the 28CDI would be far better. I live semi detatched 3 bed house with 1 shower/bathroom that also has a WC...
