The Heatmiser PRT info states that "Firstly, check that you have at least three wires (excluding the earth) behind your existing stat. If you have, the PRT is compatible." I take it i'm alright then?

You are quite right - i assumed the first connection was 1, the second 2, etc. (whereas it goes earth, 2, 3, 1, 5, 6).
So it's actually:
2 - Blue
3 - Green/Yellow (although i'm not convinced this is earth)
1 - Red

sorry to resurrect such an old thread (i stumbled on it whilst trying to find an answer on google).
I've got a Honeywell T6360 Thermostat (it's similar to/the same as the T40) and i'm trying to work out if i can replace it with a Heatmiser PRT.
