    Replumbing under sink?

Top is overflow, right is the 1/2 sink, left is washing machine, then trap, then dishwasher. Thought trap should be bigger, and possibly shouldnt have anything after trap?

    Replumbing under sink?

Hi all, we have a 1 & 1/2 sink, washing machine and dishwasher. The plumbing was already there when we moved in, but there are smells coming up the sink, especially when the tap is running. The trap seems very small, everything about it is messy under there. Can someone supply a...

    Fridge hot & tripping power

Hi, I was recently given an under counter fridge to keep my home brew in. Result. Left it for a week, then plugged it in. Pretty much instantly there was a buzzing noise followed by smoke. Unplugged fridge, pulled it out, hole in the relay. Ordered a new one, fitted it, sat with...

    Retro fit flat roof insulation?

Cheers for the input. The only thing putting me off is the cost. I can get enough earthwool for the job and some spare for £80, the kingspan will be £315 then need earthwool on top of that cost. There are no air bricks in the room, once the ceiling goes up the only airflow will be from the...

    Retro fit flat roof insulation?

Last question, i promise. I may be able to get my hands on alot of earthwool for not much money, would stuffing this in as tight as possible, totally filling the void, then something like wire mesh to hold it in place then the foil backed boards, would that be ok? Or is it best to use the...

    Retro fit flat roof insulation?

That's true, though I'm not sure why as there are no soffits or air bricks anywhere? Would the cavity in the walls provide enough draught to flow up through the roof space? If the rock wool is properly jammed up, like if there is too much for the gap, then the kingspan shoved in and secured...

    Retro fit flat roof insulation?

Ag great, that sounds good. Is there any advantage of using the kingspan on top rather than the rockwool? Ive not bought any yet, thats just what i was thinking about getting. Thanks for the advice.

    Retro fit flat roof insulation?

Will i need to pack the whole of the gap? Its 30cm in places. Could i use standard fibre/wool roll insulation then kingspan than foil backed plasterboard? Sorry about all the questions, just dont want to regret it in 5-10years time. Thanks.
