    Looks as if your diverter valve has bitten the dust. Vailiant do repair kits, though best off fitting a new one. Its either the plastic arm, microswitch or diaphragm

    Vallient Turbomax Boiler

    Sounds like diverter valve mate. Located in bottom right of boiler, sometimes the microswich fails or you can buy a referb kit with new diaphragm. Watch the arm move when someone switches the tap on. I suggest calling Vailiant tech line as they'll give you more advice for free.

    Could it be the flame picture electrodes that need adjusting? Had similar fault on same boiler and engineer gapped to 4mm and worked ever since (touching wood).

    Any Valliant experts out there? TurboMax 824

    Says that problem is either - No water in appliance, pump cable defective, pump blocked or defective, pump output too low. Have you checked pump for blockage or sludge?

    Pressure variations are normal with hot-cold cycling and for your boiler the range should be between 1-1.5 bar.

    Could it be flame picture out of sync i.e. electrodes incorrectly gapped - should be 4mm or gap of £1 coin. Had similar problem and gapped accordingly, which solved problem.

    Problem could possibly be due to flame pattern electrodes that need adjusting i.e. wrong gapping and should be 4mm gap (diameter of £1 coin).

    Flow diverter valve is what is at fault. Could be either plastic rocker switch on side that has snapped or internal diaphragm.
