    Low Pitch Roof Preparation

I'm now seeing a bigger issue as a result of my car port roof structure. The counter battens and horizontal battens have been screwed down at the same place in the joists that run through the rafters because there are only 4 rafters across the 6m building which are on the structure posts. It...

    Low Pitch Roof Preparation

This is a timber framed enclosed garage and the roof is overboard with T&G boards. In preparation for metal sheets I have fitted a breather membrane directly to the boards and counter battened at 600 centres to provide good ventilation for likely condensation. I feel I have missed a couple of...

    Loose Half Newel Post

I have just moved into our new home and discovered the handrail on our walkway is loose. On investigation the timber fitted to the wall which the hand rail fixes into has movement, and as you can see from the pictures their is a gap at the bottom. From research i understand this is called a half...

New Socket off a Switched FCU?

Thanks John The ring circuit is RCD protected. Should i consider doing this another way? I was 16th edition qualified 13 years ago but my career has gone in a very different direction so i'm not afraid to admit i'm no expert, but certainly know how to do a job correctly. Any ideas...

    two circuits on single RCBO?

Just spoke to Warmup customer services which was a waste of time. They can't advise if a 16 amp RCBO needs fusing down for the 5.2 Amp UFH. Apparantly its up to the electrician to decide?

    two circuits on single RCBO?

Thanks for the advice. The UFH is Warmup and is suitable for bathroom instalations. I will contact warmup and ask if a FCU is needed for isolation. The UFH load is 5 amps so wouldn't it be compolsoary to downrate the supply to 13 amps? I'm aware of the Part P regs but haven't decided if i...

    Whirlpool Bath Wiring

Thanks for the information. In picture 1 the bath will be positioned on the chipboard on the left hand side of the picture. The junction box on the bath sits just behind the bath panel, about 1m away from where i plan to end the conduit.
