    You can hear sensors tick if you get up close to em, helps id any bad ones. I had a faulty one on my a4 b7. I gave it a good power hosing, it worked after. Not sure if a bit of polish or something blocked it but that worked for me.

    Don't use spit, it'll cause bacteria and go back to manky in months. I normally apply the sillicon then spray it with a weak soapy water mix or weak bathroom cleaner/water mix. Then smooth down with your finger to finish.

    I'd say the wall needs a skim of bonding coat, then a skim of muilti finish plaster, then tile it. I've try and pull the rest of it off depending if it's pretty loose.

    I bought a house which in the survey showed the bay replacement windows had no baypoles. First thing to check if they've put them in when they swopped for upvc. Best to try and track down the company who put in the vpvc. Not sure of a magnet would pick up the baypoles?
