    Strange type of bleed valve

    The radiators in our new house need bleeding but I am not familiar with the type of bleed valve. It does not seem to have the type of bleed valve which uses a hex key. I am loath to unscrew things without knowing what I'm doing. Can anyone help? I have put a photo of the valve

    The valve is a Horstmann 22mm zone valve. If we put the valve on manual override (by moving the small lever and putting it in the notch) then if we have the Central heating on then the water heats up (and the radiators a bit). Should we also swith the water heating on at the boiler controls...
