Thanks for that,problem solved.Reset cooker clock and "low and behold",the light worked.Magic eh ! Perhaps this will stop someone else tearing their hair out.

Problem,main oven lamp blew,followed instructions ie switched power off removed glass cover, replaced bulb with like for like Phillips 240v P45 E14 SES 1000h rated 300 deg's.Switched power back on, no light ,all other functions working fine.Switched power off checked bulb filiment still...
