Took this of the new light today. So I can double the wires up and put both in the same holes? Without twisting them together.

Thanks for your help so far, below is a photo of the old light fitting. You can see the two lots of live and negatives twisted together. One of each of those ran to the second light fitting. Obvioisly I am using new cables, but should I still wire the lights up the same way, throughout all six...

Yes all six to run from the one switch. At the moment the wiring is done from the fuse box to the switch, and from the switch up to the ceiling. There was two lights fitted but wires were twisted together and bodged so ive removed them, and replaced the wiring from the switch to the ceiling with...

hi all, having our garden paved and turfed, i came home from work on friday and noticed the landscape gardeners had started laying the new rurf. they have laid approx 75mm of top soil over the dirt left after removing the old turf, weeds etc, it appears to have been whacker plated down...

Sorry fella but I disagree. If you do it that way you're going to have the tiles out of line on nigh on every course, the full length of the roof. Then tile and half and cuts up the middle somewhere. Not a bit of me.

When we reach the point of needing more than atile and half, we start to cut two singles down on each course until it reduces back down. You cant always start tiling from the hip, if at the other end of the roof theres another hip? And theres more than an inch lap mate, minimum we go is...

Wow, they must be a sory state. re-roofed a few semis near me last year, used a lovely single camber clay tile from marley called Hawkins, colour was fired sienna. So nice I thought I'd do my own roof ing them ;) Cost will really depend on your insulation choices, mine was a cold roof...
