    Plasterboard instead of rendering?

    Hello everyone I am having my kitchen renovated. There is a wall which has a mixture of exposed brickwork and old rendering. Instead of removing the rendering and then re-rendering and plastering, my builder has stuck plasterboard onto the wall. Is the right way to do this? Thanks Zak :(
