Thanks I shall have a look for that. I wondered about the shallow bath traps - they look like they wouldn't come much lower than an 90 deg elbow. want to keep the thing as tight to the bottom of the sink until further back. I'll go an check out the twin sink thing.

    drain test

ZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz! just a thought but we could disconnect the pipes on outside of house form where they meet the brown pipe and just literally pressure test the grey pipe and joints on the 7m and loo run and this would mean the utility trap and manhole etc wouldn't come into it. Then if...

Hi, our builder has suggested we don't bother with an intermediate drain test but I really don't want to destroy the new bathroom if a leak shows up on final test and would like to check it in stages. we have just got a drain testing kit to do an intermediate test on the grey waste pipe...

Hi, it is a kaldewei saniform plus metal bath 1500x700 from bathstore which doesn't seem to have come with any hanging brackets but has pretty sturdy feet to go on the bottom and as far as I can remember was a good thickness and not the tinny one. was going to run a wooden baton along wall to...

    preparing wall for tiling

cool didn't think of that - so where it's tight in the corner ie the 90 deg bit i just keep gouging until it moves in enough that the bath is touching at both outer ends and then tidy up gouges with filler or just rely on all the adhesive, etc filling in the rough gougy bits. Just as well I...

    preparing wall for tiling

oops - read your first reply as saying you would tank it! have now re-read it and see you said not to. good news. have checked walls with a straight edge and alarmingly realise that the corner the bath will go in is not actually 90 deg! well it is for the first 2" and then it widens out...

    Solid wood floor on Concrete

Hi whats the best way of finding the source i.e structural or condensation - the fact it looks dry now I suppose is because it has no floor covering on it at present and it can evaporate and so doesn't build up to look wet. cheers
