    Central heating switching off occasionally

    I'm having a problem with my central heating, I presume it's a gravity fed system as there is a cold water tank in the attic, a cylinder in a cupboard and a boiler in the garage. the problem is if I turn the thermostat on the hot water cylinder down the heating goes off :? leave it on...
