    Thanks Breezer. I like simple answers. Floors are horizontal, walls are vertical so I just wanted to be sure that floor tile cement would be strong enough to defy gravity.

    Tile adhesive - quarry tiles

    I want to build a small fireplace with 6" quarry tiles, 1/2" thick. I need to fix some to the wall as a surround. Should I use floor tile cement, the same as I use to lay the hearth or otherwise? Any advice greatly appreciated.
