    Patio above Damp proof course

So looking at the diagram is it possible to have the patio at a height above the blue bricks as long as I put a gravel barrier between the patio and the house and put a polypipe or french drain in the gravel to take away water?

    Patio above Damp proof course

I want to build a patio that comes level with the door ledge of my bi-folding doors so that we can step in and out of the house without much of a step up or down. Is there a way of doing this without interferring with the DPC? I've attached a picture of the back door and hardcore already laid...

    Sky or Virgin multiroom

Thanks for the link, Sam. Sounds like I timed it just right. May be coincidence but they sent me an offer which is multiscreen for £2.50 a month for 12 months, free box and free installation, if I returned to multiscreen having previously had multiroom.

    Sky or Virgin multiroom

I understand for Sky multiroom you have to have each box connected to a phone line, even if this is on the other side of the house. Do you have to have a phone line connected to each box with the Virgin multiroom system?

Distributing Sky through amplifier around the house

I think I have finally cracked it. I have pictures and sound at all tv points in the house. Picture quality is adequate, one of the cables was loose hence the reason for poor picture quality I mentioned in my last post. I checked a cable that was a birt loose and this has improved the picture...

Distributing Sky through amplifier around the house

Right I have followed all the good advice (thank you all again for that) and found and removed some chuncking through which the electrician had run the cables around the house. Some were disconnected so through a process of elimination I connected each loose end to the UHF cable in turn...

Distributing Sky through amplifier around the house

Thanks Lucid for your detailed illustrations. I can confirm though that the new room we have placed the main TV in does have two points. TV and Return. I have included pictures on the wall socket (there are connections for the wires from the Sky dish to the Sky box too but these are not in...

Distributing Sky through amplifier around the house

Thanks guys. I think I had it wired correctly. A coax from socket marked TV on the wall to aerial in on the Sky box. RF2 on the box to a socket on the wall marked Return. But no signals are coming out of the amp along the cables to the various rooms.

Distributing Sky through amplifier around the house

I have a signal, strong picture coming out of the Sky box and going to the Return socket but that seems to be where it ends. Is something at the Wolsey box supposed to distribute that signal along all the Out cables to the various rooms? Because I still can't get a picture on the second TV...

Distributing Sky through amplifier around the house

Thanks Lucid for your very helpful response. I can't see a model number because of the way the amp is fitted. I have attached a picture if that helps.
