Painting over pebbledash with Dulux Weathershield

The outside of our house is majority pebbledash except the bottom 1/4 maybe, becuase we have had to have it patched where we have changed things it really needs painting. What's the best way to apply the above paint? I was thinking either a very long pile roller or large brushes. Spraying...

    Which Conservatory Company & Spec?!

Totally agree on that yes, we once had safestyle do some windows in a flat after i knocked about 10000000 pounds of the initial price. They were rough! Elmhurst have been around for years, certainly 30+ so that must say something i hope! As i said before, everest we on with the hard sell...

    Which Conservatory Company & Spec?!

I managed to get them to have their builder start this week and the dwarf wall is already up! So far i have only paid 1.5k deposit. A friend of mine is a brickie by trade and he's impressed with the workmanship which makes me feel better tbh! I have two seperate rings covering the downstairs...

    Concrete mix for Foundations

Totally agree with you on that, i had them for the garage base of about 2 cube with the mini dumper and they were spot on. The base price is £128 all in for the first cube and about 90 quid for each one after and saves A LOT of mixing!

    Which Conservatory Company & Spec?!

We decided to go with Elmhurst. The sales guy didnt give the hard sell, wasnt there 3 hours like everest and actually listened to what i wanted which is a bonus. They are doing the full thing including wiring to second fix and a radiator. All plastered with window boards for not much more...

    Which Conservatory Company & Spec?!

Hmm, i suppose it will be a trade off then as i have literally just finished the full house inside so dont want to even think about doing an extension yet. I'd sooner sell up  I'll see what the other companies come up with and decide :)

    Which Conservatory Company & Spec?!

Thanks for that Richard Sorry yes i meant polycarbonate. I will check to see the difference in price as I have Elmhurst coming out today to quote also. All the quotes i have are split, one for me doing the base and final fix and one for the complete job. I know i can maybe save 1500 quid+...

    Which Conservatory Company & Spec?!

We have had two quotes for our conservatory, one from a local guy and one from Everest. Not quite like for like because the local guy suggested perspex where everest quoted on their glass. the difference is essentially £4000 between the two. Are we really going to get that much better...

Garden levelling & building a sleeper retaining wall...

Hope it will yeah, cant wait to have a garden! It took him a day to do all that, i will try find a before picture and you can see how much he did! Basically he took all the top soil up and piled that, dug out the lower level, spread that about on the top and re-did the top soil. Very...

Hello and my first conservatory project!

Thanks for the advice, I will go through the post and as you say make a summary, generally writing a post like this shouldnt be done on a hangover  The second post was just a reply to someone else showing what I had done to give them ideas though

Garden levelling & building a sleeper retaining wall...

We had a guy in to level our garden and there is a fair difference in levels (5 course of concrete block) but the wall is been done as we speak and not before. Couple of progress pics, sorry the second one is not brilliant but i just took it now from the window!
