Which of these boilers would you recommend?

What happens to the Viessmann 200 if you fit it without weather compensation? Does this 'great boiler' suddenly start to dissolve or something? It's either a good boiler or is not regardless of the controls it's fitted with surely.

Ideal Elan2 Pilot Light very small

Pilot assembly probably needs a clean. It will require gas connections to be broken so it may not be something you'd want to do yourself.

    Ideal Minimiser SE 50 problem

The Ideal Minimiser is considered by some to be one of the worst boilers ever produced. Some may even go as far as to suggest that Ideal boilers in general are not fit for purpose. Help Glow worm 38cxl losing pressure.

Assuming the boiler wasn't on when you went out it could be a couple of things. If there is evidence of water in the warning pipe I would probably be taking a close look at the pressure relief valve as this could be letting by. If someone in the past has used this valve for draining the boiler...

Help Glow worm 38cxl losing pressure.

If you want to try what MrV has suggested then the pipes can be identified as follows. Start at the pipe in the middle. Should have a yellow lever on it. That's the gas. Two pipes to the right. That's the CH return. Two pipes to the left of gas. That's the CH flow. Top it up to around 1 bar...
