Moving large ferns and other plants

Planning to move 4x large ferns and some other plants such as pamaps grass, bux tree, and large unknown connifer type plant in the back garden to the front garden. Wondering if it would be ok to move them during May - June time. Or would it be better to move them in some other months of the...

    eBay battery powered chainsaws

Not sure what Ah they would be. If the saws are good, I would try to get the genuine Makita batteries with the Makita drills. But having 4x batteries will the saw keep going for a days job hopefully.

    eBay battery powered chainsaws

It came to about £13 for each batteries for the 4. And the 2x saws were free, so price wise it wasn't too bad. Try to get them with the real makita name on them. They may break the bank.

    eBay battery powered chainsaws

They seem to come with warranty too. Some were saying 2 years or 5 years warranty. But one seller was offering Life Time Warranty. Not sure if it would be realistic or straightforward to claim the warranties in case anything goes wrong with the saws or the batteries. Not even sure if the...

    eBay battery powered chainsaws

Climbing up on the ladder with a large chainsaw last year to cut the tall hedge stems was really difficult and felt danagerous. One hand operated light and small chainsaw would have been safer and easier while the other hand holds on to the ladder. Wish I had known these devices were available...

    Amazon UK delivery problems?

I am not saying Amazon UK delivery system was 100% bad. I have had no problems for my purchases from Amazon. It was so much shocking this time, and the last time for wife's buying PC experience from Amazon UK. Because I was used to the problem-free deliveries from Amazon UK, maybe it was more...

    Amazon UK delivery problems?

NT was simpler and faster. It had some problems too like the blue screen death crash occasionally. But it wasn't made to push all the adverts and propagandas in the OS like WINDOWS 10 and 11. Another problem with WINDOWS10 & 11 is having to wait while frequent WINDOWS online update patching...

    Amazon UK delivery problems?

Wife bought a new laptop from Amazon last year, which developed fault within a few month - it stopped charging the battery. She had to go through the support line for returning it for full refund. It took around 2 weeks to get the refund. She ordered the new PC - this time, not trusting...

    Amazon UK delivery problems?

Had to get wife to call Amazon, but usual Robot answering machine. Really poor system for the user support when things go wrong. Real hassle to find the menu to contact, and get through to the real person to speak to in Amazon. The option they gave was either Replace or Refund in Full. We...

    Amazon UK delivery problems?

My wife has ordered a new PC from Amazon. It was supposed to be delivered 2 days ago. But she says the tracking stopped at Leeds Amazon distribution centre, and nothing happened for 2 days. They just show on the App menu, "Maybe the package is lost." and there is no option for Refund, or...

A mystery of the damp cold room in the house

The shower room has a vent fan on the wall opening to the outside space. And the window in the shower room gets left open during the day. But still I can see the shower room is damp. The metal shelf for the toiletries bought about 3-4 year ago has gone much rusty all around in the shower room.

A mystery of the damp cold room in the house

Yeah, it sounds right. Will keep the door opened for some ventilation, and put on the heating for next few days, as the night temperature is dipping down to almost 0C this week. Will see how it goes. Many thanks for your info and advice. cheers.

A mystery of the damp cold room in the house

I monitored with a digital weather station the small room (about 3x 3 m) in downstairs, and it seems strangely keep having high humidity up to 75% and 13C constantly last few days. The electric heating has been switched off with the spring coming, and outside temperature here has been about 8...

House shaking due to the construction work across the main road

Good advice. Will be taking some photos of the house inside and out, and keep them for archive with dates and time stamps. There are no visible cracks anywhere in the house at the moment.
