    Ideal Response 120 - Heat Exchanger

    My IdeaL Response 120 just over 2 years old has failed with a blown heat exchanger. I have seen some notes on the web that suggests this is a known problem as the boiler is too powerful for it's on good !. Does anyone else know about this ?

    Monday Morning same thing again....water leaking out of the boiler and water in the fan assembly. So the H/E is ****** then If anyone does know of other instances where this has happened with Ideal boilers that might be useful And if anyone can recommend a place to get spare...

    Maybe all is not lost We contacted a plumber through a friend of ours who came round to have a look. He has drained the water out of the fan assembly and has got the heating working :) But we haven't dared use the hot water in case it all goes horribly wrong...

    This morning when I got up I noticed there was water leaking from my Ideal Response 120 Combi Boiler. The Pressure was at 3 Bar. I drained some water from one of the raidiators to reduce the presure to 1 Bar. After taking the boiler front cover off I found a lot of water inside the boiler...
