so i could change the current s/fcu spur to a fcu spur, and then from the fcu wire 1.5m to either a switch for the outside light or straight to the outside light.
the indoor can still be switched on and off from the light itself so that wont be a problem.
sorry i just need to make...
sorry my mistake,,, the fused spur is a switch spur, should that make a difference or carry on witht the 2.5m to the next fused switch spur and then 1.5 to the light????????
i think it was a 3amp fuse for the light,
cheers guys for info
i have taken a fused spur from the ring main. which is fused down to power a light under the stairs. from that fused spur can i use 2.5 cable to another fused spur and fuse it down, then 1.5 cable to supply an outside light.
well would you beleive it that was the only wire i didnt move, gutted, but works cheers guys, lighting circuits so many ways of doing it aaahhhh cheers again i'm a happy bunny :D
if the supply is going to the switch how does the 2 way lighting work regarding upstair and downstairs lighting. i have been racking my brain and i must be missing something.
i can get the downstairs switch to turn upstairs on and off,
when the landing light is off the switch upstairs turns...
i am changing my front room light for new, and putting 3 wall lights up. all to run from the same switch. question is that the light centre light has only got the switch live to it and the live supply feed to the switch,
what is the best way to wire up the wall lights to make sure they come on...
there is a 2.5m cable already supplied into the bathroom from a previous fan. but the old fan was wired straight into the fan, where as this fan has the wire already supplied, which can be put onto a plug, we all know we can't have plugs in bathrooms unless it 3m away, in this bathroom that is...
the fan heater that is supplied has already got the wire attached and does not need earth, so only blue and brown wires. can i wire this into a fused spur in the bathroom in zone 2 on the wall. or does the fused spur have to be outside the room?
If the spur has to be outside how do i extend...
thanks guys,,,,to true i have a gas hob and oven and it brilliant, just got a frustrated family memeber. wirest thing is that there is not information in the manual regarding the rings etc
has anyone experience there lamona rings going off, brings the water to the boil then turns off, other rings stays on and some dont even stay hot, another ring get to a mild temp and does not get hot
this is a brand new hob????
hob requires 30amp supply and the oven requires 20amp supply. question? hob is on one side of the kitchen and is supplied with 30amp from the ccu by 4mm cable and the oven is oppisite. can i use the main cooker switch to supply both appliances,
yes junction box already rcd protected at ccu. understand that it needs to be notified. so the junction box that is supplying the garage and outside light, was to be changed to a double socket, as i understand it, this will keep the supply to to the garage aswell.... just like a ring circuit...
at the moment there is an outside power supply to the garage and light, this is supplied via swa cable. now the swa is attached to the ouside of the house connected into a sealed junction box ip rated. can i change this to an outside socket but still keep the power to the garage and light etc.
What supply can i use for a rcd garage fuse unit. at the moment there is a old type fuse bs3036, this is supplied by 2.5 m cable then 2 fuses are run of that. can i do the same by using the original 2.5 m cable into the rcd and the connect up the light/socket radial circuit on b6 and b16 mcb.
