Worcester Bosch 30i Greenstar Combi CH Not Working

Finally got hold of a mate who's an Engineer but lives miles away, he reckons the diverter valve motor is a common issue on these boilers. Agrees that it's not the condensating pipe or Siphon. Will get another Engineer out & see what he says. Anybody come across issues with the diverter valve...

Worcester Bosch 30i Greenstar Combi CH Not Working

Interesting replies.......thanks to all No error codes at all, never has been. Just HW working 100% but no CH When I say Plumber, I meant a Gas Safe guy (I'm just now checking the register also!) The new condensate external pipe is running approx 1.5m in length, is still a 22mm & I'll lag it...

Worcester Bosch 30i Greenstar Combi CH Not Working

Update for those with similar issues..... The syphon trap was full of sludge and was then emptied out. Plumber says that, as condensing waste is dropping internally into washing machine waste, it has blocked with the sludge. Recommends condensing waste is diverted externally via 22mm pipe fixed...

Worcester Bosch 30i Greenstar Combi CH Not Working

Hi have a 2 yr old Worcester Greenstar 30i Combi. HE is working ok but CH not working. Thermostat is ok + calling for heating (just changed the batteries), but CH won't come on via timer or manual switch either. Have the thermostat set at 30deg. I've tried reset of boiler + switching off via...

Fakro Roof Lights & Low Pitch Flashing

Agreed noseall would prefer to use Velux myself, but they don't do a product that works on a 12 degree pitch roof other than ugly flat roof windows. The Fakro option is a standard centre pivot window, but the flashing kicks up the back of the window & thereby exceeding the minimum 15 degrees...

Had Yorks Water out yesterday to check something on the external water meter (may have a leak), I mentiioned I'm due to change the internal stop tap as it's not closing off properly (existing stop tap has been in the house approx 30 yrs, maybe more). The Engineer offered to change the top...

    Drawings

Ha Ha  To the OP, get in a Technician + give them your requirements. It'll be drawn up in draft, tweak if necessary & then once you have completed plans start getting quotations for works. Some Building Control depts allow small works like this under the 'Building Notice', some may...

Shared downpipe and ownership of sewer

I'm open to correction here, but I'd say those sewers are privately owned by your good self. All sewers from the connecting MH onwards are under the ownership of your local water co. Just give then a call + e-mail you drawing query over to them, hopefully they can clarify.

    DPC on garage

A DPC is usually 150mm up from the external ground level. If the new works are higher / level than the existing DPC then yes it's virtually useless. Could they not have excavated prior to the works to ensure the DPC integrity wasn't compromised & thereby maintaining the 150mm level difference?

neighbours 5m signle storey rear extension

I'd agree with the OP's thoughts, I thougt that was the point of the neighbour consultation scheme........if your neighbour don't agree to over 3m (semi's + terraced) then you can only extend by 3m under PD?

Thanks for the replies guys Looks like I'll be going for a Vaillant, most of the local installers offer that + I'm struggling to get anybody offering a Potterton Titanium. Does anybody know if (as part of this Eco Bioler scheme) they're supposed to do a full power flush, fit a magnetic...

ECO Boiler scheme - which Boiler to get?

Thanks for the reply cozzmic I'm not too bothered if the casing is a bit flimsy on the Vaillant as long as there aren't loads of plastic parts in it (as was suggested by my Plumber)?

ECO Boiler scheme - which Boiler to get?

Morning Currently have a 13yr old Vaillant 828 TurboMAX, I'm having issues with it again. We're entitled to a free replacement boiler under this Govt. 'Eco Scheme'. I have been told by various local installers tha they're willing to install whatever make of combi-boiler we want. They...

    Problems with Vaillant 828 TurboMAX

Brief update Had the expert out last night, the prognosis was the fan is on it's way out. He basically got it running again & lubricated it with an oil spray (WD40 type I presume). It's started to fire up again + seems to be working for now. Have been told long term that it'll need a new...
