    Just the same, it all depends on how often you have the immersion heaters on for, The pulsacoil and the 2 mentioned both have 2x 3kw heaters, if anything the 2 mentioned have more insulation to retain the heat.

    Is it on a combi boiler or unvented cylinder, if so consider fitting a pressure reducer at the main stop tap and get your whole house as a balanced supply, bit easier than repairing all showers or fitting non returns everywhere

    I agree with Eaton, it sounds like it is connected up wrong and I think the engineer manually opened the motorised valve, so the system would heat up. Has the cylinder had the element connected? if so this may be a easier way to get hot water until you get your wiring looked at
