Can I replace or do i need new Flush valve-Fluidmaster

Thanks for replies I've been to local plumber shop and they said better off replacing whole thing. Went to B&Q to get replacement, but the only one they had was one with a cable, which I bought anyway thinking I could just replace the current push button. However, even though the width...

Can I replace or do i need new Flush valve-Fluidmaster

Hi, Have a slow leak into the pan. Have taken the flush valve out to check the washer & notice that the bit it attaches to looks damaged. Can I get this replaced or do I need a whole new flush valve? Thanks

Help with slow leaking close coupled toilet

Definately no nut underneath. I can get my hand down the drain hole and there's nothing underneath. The flush valve base seems to thread up tight, just doesn't align up?

Help with slow leaking close coupled toilet

Hi again. Managed to unscrew the flush valve and the other part that actually fits into the waste. This part just unscrewed - there is no bolt under the cistern holding it in place. There is a rubber washer under the valve, and I'm pretty sure this is where the leak is. I cleaned away all...

Help with slow leaking close coupled toilet

Yes, I've just managed to remove the flush valve, and the bit that's left actually twists all the way around? I'm assuming it shouldn't! I can see the drip of the water and it must be coming through the nut itself. I can't feel or see any washer, but, there is some sort of putty which is soft...

Help with slow leaking close coupled toilet

Thanks Andy, it does look as though it should come undone, but, the whole thing moves, and I can't get underneath to undo any fixings? When I try and turn it 1/4 turn, should I be looking at just the top bit coming off, or the whole thing?

Help with slow leaking close coupled toilet

Hi all, Have a modern newish toilet cistern - 2 years old. Have noticed that the cistern keeps refilling for no reason. The water is very slowly leaking into the pan I have turned off the water supply, and within a couple of hours the cistern is completely empty. I have tried cleaning the...

How to replace syphon boxed in toilet?

En-suite toilet suddenly not flushing, without having to press handle quickly a number of times. Problem is, the cistern is boxed in behind a tiled wall and I can't even get my hand behind the wall to isolate the water. If I turn the water off to the whole house, would there be any way of...

    Toilet cistern leaking into pan

Thanks - I ended up taking the part back to B&Q (stiill had receipt) for them to advise on new washer, but, they didn't seem to stock them, in the end, sales assistant just swapped the whole unit for a new one! Fitted it & now works fine. Thanks all
