    I used maepi mapegum in the end. Worked really well comes in a kit with primer and tape etc. You can get it from screwfix in Bangor.

    Tanking hardibacker board before tiling - Is this necessary or is it overkill? Travertine tiles going up on the walls of a shower cubicle. I was planning on using BAL WP1 if needed - is there anything better? Thanks for reading, Stuart.

    Thanks guys! Nige thats a great site but I couldn't see anything about lead slates, was it the part about using a slate ripper you were pointing me torwards? Noseall I understand your method but as I am fitting this into an existing slate roof do I need to strip all the slates from the area...

    Hi, Please can anyone give me advice on how to install a lead slate? It is going into an existing slate roof to allow a flue pipe to exit. Any help would be appreciated I can't find anything on the forums or the web. Cheers, Stuart.
