Thanks 'Fireman T' for your advice. I contacted another gas fitter who found that the pilot light was blocked. He cleared the blockage which was stopping the pilot heating the thermocoupler and the fire is now working perfectly. SO MUCH FOR BRITISH GAS EXPERTISE!!!

The fire and pilot light go out after a short period of time. It will not light at all on high setting.

This is what the British Gas repair engineers have told me.

I need the part no. for the Oxypilot on a Supreme Radiant fire manufactured by Exclusive Fires (part of the Fireplace Group Ltd) of Sheffield. The fire is approximately 10years old.

This fire was made by Exclusive Fires (part of the Fireplace Group Ltd) I believe this company has now stopped trading.

Can anyone advise the part no. for an Oxypilot/ASD for the above fire? The heating engineer trying to repair this fire has had no success in finding it.

I have a user manual for this fire. I can e-mail the coal configuration if you still need it.
