    Thanks for the reply Masona. Not using Bourdeux for treads only for skirting, risers and panels. Yes it is very soft but is so resinous it's clogging belts and bandsaw,etc. Haven't as yet located a supplier for Piranha. I've been told if I can get it it's very expensive.

    Hi Anna, Good place to get timber is your local household recycle centre. They often have old furniture which you can pick up dirt cheap. Dismantle it and you have a supply of ready seasoned wood for projects or practice. Geogem :idea:

    Sleeve anchor bolt

    I've always found the best way to fit sleeved anchor bolts is to use two nuts instead of one to drive them in (much less chance of damaging the threads). Then get a short length of tube same size as sleeve, just a gentle tap gets the sleeve to grip. If they came without washers, fit one. :wink...
