    Tap problem

The cold water tap on Aqualesa bath/shower mixer is not working. Turning the tap fails to turn the spindle because the two components (the blue one is plastic)in photo 3 do not lock together because of wear (the housing in the inside top of the shroud has cracked badly and the top of the blue...

    PIR not working properly

My PIR is failing to trigger the lamps wired to it at dusk .The PIR is calibrated at the factory and has worked fine for several years. A very slight tap on the base of the unit (NEWLEC NL5601) is enought to get it to work OK., but obviously is not a long term solution. I am a complete...

Candy Washing machine --small stains !

Thanks for this. I see bearing kits are fairly inexpensive --- but probably not a DIY job ? I have just noticed that the seal (where visible through the glass door - has a deposit of small particles . Not much bigger than pinheads , but lots of them . They are blackish and do not wipe off ...

    Immersion Heater /Circulator

Here is a pic of the Santon Circulator after removing the cap(which says nothing other than Santon Circulator plus a very big 10 digit number) . What you see here is about 3 inches in diameter. The central pillar is threaded at the top and this holds a plastic cap in position. Then...

    Immersion Heater /Circulator

Thanks to everyone for comments etc. I'll see if I can get a picture to help, although there is not much to photograph. Shall try and get one posted later today. Again my thanks to everyone . I suppose it could simply be that the Circulator is an ON/OFF component, not thermostatic. or that...

    Immersion Heater /Circulator

Switching on the Santor is an alternative method of heating the water;but it is too hot for comfort .What I am trying to find out is if this alternative is controllable. switching on the Santor gives...
