    Excellent thanks Liam. So any filler will do? Is ready to use stuff best or mix it yourself? Do I need to pva the gap or just score? Will be sure to water my mist coat. Thanks again.

    Ok so maybe superfluous was the wrong word. Another point to note is the beading did have gaps in anyway where light switches were weirdly cut in. So prob will look better without them. Any advice on the best approach to filling? It's not a cavernous gap but needs smoothing into the plaster...
