my cctv recorder shows file open error when i try and play back why? It also keeps shutting it self down every thirty seconds.... whats going on? can anyone help?

ok its not the hard disk or power supply :( So i power up the recorder it powers up to the multi colour bars then no h.264 ive tested the hard drive it works ok, i put a new one in again nada, so i got another power pack from maplins again nothing. so what happens is this the lines come...

Hi all. My brother installed a cctv system for me. its been working fine up untill yesterday. i came home and saw the screen was grey.... so i turned it off and waiting for it to power up but all i got was the multi colour lines then no normal h264 with the beeps just the grey screen and red...

i cant believe how unprofessional some people are "europlex", all swale did was give advice. i have read a few of your responses and most of them are not helpful they just seem to rip those who do help! I hope to god you dont work for a security firm! as you are one nasty individual...

what does: connect all video (main stream) connect al video (extra stream) auto prompt mean they are tick boxes.

hi swale everything seems to be working fine, that private message about unplugging the system and loading the cameras one by one seemed to of worked. hi Bernard no i dont think this has motion detection i only paid £700 for it. the cameras are all static. i have all 8 cameras up and running...

hi all my cctv system at home is flicking from one camera to another they are individually cabled and run... but camera 3 on the screen keeps flicking to 1 its almost if they are sharing the cable.... i have no idea what i have done wrong so can someone plz help?
