    Thank you for your reply. We have now bought new batteries and replaced them on the PIR which indicated the fault on the screen. It was indeed the batteries so we will know in future what the problem is. I hope this lesson is useful to others viewing this.

    After installing HSA6400 this morning and just completed fixing the siren for some reason the PIR on the landing activated and eversince the alarm went off and we finally managed to stop it, we have been unable to activate the PIR again even though we have reprogrammed the whole system again...
