    Radiator corner valves

I’d gladly buy a new valve if I could be sure I’m just not going to have the same problem. It’s difficult to see online if the connection is flat , or requires sliding the valve over the connection.

    Radiator corner valves

Thanks for the reply. The tail is essentially 15mm pipe, and the valve doesn’t disassemble. Therefore there isn’t a flat connection, and the valve has to slide over the tail pipe. A Chinese special as you Say?

    Radiator corner valves

hi, I am running copper pipes, to install 3x radiators. My wife wants pipework coming horizontally out of the wall, so I have purchased corner valves (in anthracite) to go with the new rads. This is giving me a bit of a headache! I have chased 15mm pipework into the walls to allow for a...

Thanks.. I brought the materials, and he had 10 bags of cement to get through so it doesn't really make any sense as to why he would skimp on it. But for some reason he has....

    Weak mortar mix

Hi, I recently had a builder build a single story concrete block (single skim with piers) outbuilding for me. I did a solid job preparing the foundations and floor myself, and hired a builder to lay the concrete blocks (I will finish the roof. Myself) I am concerned because after 3 weeks, the...

    Subfloor strength

yes I see.. thanks it's a long story why we didn't just use thicker joists. I was going to work with the structure that was already in place, brought the materials, and then found we had to start again anyway. basically yes I agree, we should have just gone with 6inch/8inch joists, which was...

    Subfloor strength

Right ok. Noggins it is then. The only way I can think to do it is drill coach screws across the top timbers into noggins.. The piers are lower down at joist level so I can't see how I could use them. It doesn't seem like the best way to do it as they won't be supported. Do let me know if...

    Subfloor strength

Thanks. I already have 18mm ply on top, but no noggins. The ply therefore delfects slightly when I put weight at an unsupported area. I suppose I'll have to remove the ply and fix that. Not sure how though - just screw across and through the top joists into noggins with very long screws? It...
