Anyone know where I kight buy this type of brick ????

Hi all, I am replacing a collapsed wall in my garden and making it double skinned. I will be placing the capping bricks at 90 degree to the way they were previously fitted so obviously will need to double up. I need to try and keep the same type if possible as they run around the...

    A truely flexable grout ???

Thanks Stef99 I will give it a try. I will be replacing my kitchen in the new year which is also on a wooden floor so don't want the grout cracking there either. I will report back in the future if it is as good as the reviews say

    A truely flexable grout ???

I have quartz tiles in my en suite laid on mezzanine flooring with 16mm ply fitted before tiling. 12 months later I have just noticed the so called flexible grout is starting to crack. Is there a truly flexible grout or even a rubberised grout available that anyone knows of ? If not, would it...

Extractor fan in utility room, required ?

Thanks for the replies. Basically the only way cloths will be dried in there is in the tumble dryer. Otherwise they will go on the line out side. My reason for asking is I don't want the building inspector to refuse to sign it off because of no extractor but don't want to fit one unnecessarily...

Extractor fan in utility room, required ?

Hi Guys, I am just in the process of finishing off an extension on my house which incorporates a utility room. This has a large opening window and backs onto the integral garage. I don't intend putting a sink in the utility room as quite frankly we don't need one and wont use much it if I...

    Hard wood door frame seals

Think I will go for throwing the seal away and either looing for a different one or a brush as you suggested. The door will look terrible if I mount it 4-5 mmm protruding from the frame and the lock will also look bad so I really don't want to go down that path. Thanks everyone who has...

    Hard wood door frame seals

Hi Again. OK so I removed the door today. Fitted the seal and positioned the door back in place to see what sort of fit it will make once adjusted. The door will sit aprox 4-5 mm proud of the door frame and the Yale night latch won't fit flush. I did check the door frame was suitable for a...

    Hard wood door frame seals

Hi Guys. I've just fitted a new hard wood front door and new frame which I have to say has come out a really good job. With the frame came a set of rubber seals to insert into the pre-cut groove in the frame. I have installed the top one no problem. If I install the hinge side seal the frame is...

Hi Guys, I'm thinking of fitting an electric garage door opener/closer but am concerned about the security of the garage once fitted. As part of the fitting will I need to disable the original locks on the door and if so how is the door secured ? I store a lot of expensive tools etc in the...

Hi Guys, I know this is an old post but my question follows on from this. When a door opener is fitted do you need to disable the original door locks and if so how is the door secured closed ?

    Fire door questions

Excellent. Thank you for your replay. Looking at the strip again I can see a strip of what looks like a pull off section right down the middle so I guess that's where the self adhesive part is.
