    Thats great, thank you so much for your help! I shall get the M5 screws with the fischer plugs as you suggested. I've read that if the wall is slightly crumbly, you can fill the hole with no nails before inserting the plug/screw and leave it to dry overnight, before hanging the cabinets...

    Thanks for your reply. I think i'm having a blonde girly moment; very confused lol The screws you suggested are for wood, but i will need masonry as thats what the walls are. Sorry for being stupid, but if the plugs are 8mm diameter, shouldn't the screws be 8mm too? I can't use a bearer...

    So you think plugs and screws will be fine? Will it be sturdy enough? 5 gauge screw? The holes in the cabinet hanging rail are 6mm diameter, so 5 gauge will be too small won't it? It maybe cheeky, but is there anyway you could post a screwfix link for the right things???? Thanks!
