    Prepping for plasters.

    Do not fill the joints or patch the plasterboard. Let the plasterer decide how to prepare the walls . Any work you do will alter the suction and or disguise the condition of the plasterboard . You would be better off leaving the plasterboard as it is ,easier for you and the plasterer.

    I am comparing plastering a clear flat wall ,against one with numerous All these "datums " will need to be margined when floating , and cleaned off numerous times when skimming. I really cannot see why you would think they are useful .

    screed problem

    Why not phone building control ,either first or last thing . Leaving a joint when the screed is on insulation sometimes results in a small lip and a crack . When you screed a room you put "screeds" all around the room for your levels . If you do it in stages you will have to dig up the "screeds"...

    You could plaster it with bonding coat , then skim it . If the existing block , brick ,is any good ,total thickness of plaster would be about 6 mm .

    Put up the fascia and soffit , felt the roof . Then render up to the soffit .

    Reveals - how to finish prior to plastering?

    You should leave the reveals and head to the plasterer. He will probably dot and dab them . He needs to set them up for the wall himself. If you do it ,he will either have to put on too much plaster , or not enough .
