    Plumbing Thermostatic bar shower

Thanks for the reply. What I failed to mention is that in another room we currently have a thermostatic shower which does NOT have a pump and although the its not a power shower we are fairly happy with the pressure. We have also just had the whole of the upstairs carpeted which is why I...

    Plumbing Thermostatic bar shower

Hello, I am currently installing a new bath/shower. There has never been a shower installed so will be chasing copper pipes into the wall from the bath feed (T joint)? The hot and cold are fed from 22mm pipes from HWCST and cold from tank in loft. The pressure to the old bath seemed pretty...

    Tiling Prep

Thanks tpt...yes, some of it is loose, im reluctant to chop it all off back to the breeze block. I will remove as much loose debris as possible and fill using patching plaster, etc. The bit about PVA was applying the PVA in the holes before filling rather than after, if that makes...

Hello, I am in the process of re doing our bathroom and trying to do as much of it myself. I will be plumbing the bathroom myself but will be getting a tiler so the finish looks good. My question relates to repairing the walls so they are good/true enough to be tiled on to. I have removed...

3 rads heating up with hot water

11 rads. Will give it a go on setting 2 then. Apologies, the noise on the pump is fine. Its a seperate issue... I was referring to the noise from the loft when the CWST fills after a bath/shower. I think a new part 2 ball cock might sort it out?

3 rads heating up with hot water

Ha ha...yes. Thanks for asking. It turns out there was a huge amount of air in the downstairs rads which i didn't bleed properly or in the correct order. I then bleed them and shut off all valves except the affected rad...it was piping hot within minutes...Result!! The CH system is doing my...

3 rads heating up with hot water

3 of the radiators get fully warm as if the heating is on, all the others in close vicinity of these three get slightly luke warm, mainly at the inlet pipes. As long as it is not doing any damage to the system im not that worried as i can just turn the rads off at the valves for the summer i guess.

3 rads heating up with hot water

Thanks Armo. Am i correct to think it does no harm other than make it uncomfortably hot in the summer? I.e. no damage to the system?

3 rads heating up with hot water

We have recently moved into house with very old CH system. I have chemically cleaned the system and all rads are heating up nicely. However with summer approaching we don’t need the heating as much. I have noticed that when the hot water comes on for 40 minutes in the morning and 40 minutes in...
