brake pedal spongy after pads change

First thing to check is, are your discs in good condition, ie are they flat, if not you will have a spongy pedal until they bed in. Is the caliper free to move?. Last of all did you buy good quality pads and not some cheap nasty compressed carboard from some back street shop.

How to change brake discs on a Vauxhall Corsa C 1.4 16v?

Sorry about that, the torque setting is 95nm. If you clamp off the flexi hose with a pipe clamp and put a bleeder tube on the bleed nipple and open the nipple about half a turn you will be able to press the piston back in and the fluid will go into a jar and not all over the paint (bad news). If...

How to change brake discs on a Vauxhall Corsa C 1.4 16v?

Jack up the car and put on axle stands with the handbrake firmly on. Remove the wheels, remove the pads, take off the caliper bridge. Remove the disc, clean up the drive flange until it's clean and shiney. Clean the new disc with brake cleaner and fit to the drive flange and refit the screw...

    1995 Mondeo Brake Drums

There should be a couple of countersunk screws holding the drive to the drive flange. The big nut holding the drive flange will be very tight, and will need a puller to get the drive flange off.

I hope you didn't believe what they said, I don't surposed they measured the discs when they said they were worn out, rust biulds up on the unworn edge of the disc and it make it look a lot worse than it really is. Vauxhall cavalier help needed ?

If your engine is like smaller GM engines, then you can buy a tool to compress the valve spring and then you can remove the cam follower, then you can remove the hydraulic tappet.

    ford fiesta 1.3i

Discs don't warp, what does happen is they wear very slightly thick and thin, it only needs 0.0005" to get brake judder. Check that every thing is fastened on correctly and there is no wear around the caliper and front suspension area. Reading your origonal post I still think it's the tyres...
