My tenants are indeed first time renters. There seems to be lack of awareness of dealing with condensation, they even reported the problem as "roof leaks". And my impression is that they expect the conservatory to be a "normal" room, actually they use it as dining room from what I see.
I would...
There is a sliding door on one side only. Between the conservatory and kitchen is the living room. Kitchen has its own windows and extractor fan to the outside.
Every time i visited the house I found it very warm inside, and perhaps too warm for me. Not sure if these anti fog spray would work but even if it does, I can't suggest them to spray around everyday....
Exactly, they need to take some actions to minimise the amount of moist air coming into this area. But from my side, I want to help and fitting vents is the only thing I can think of so far.
Hi guys,
i have a house that I rent out which has a simple conservatory with no windows nor vents. I believe the conservatory was built more than 5 years ago by the previous owners. Recently my tenants who moved in a few months ago have been complaining "roof leaking". Today I went to check and...
Hi Ken,
My wife posted the pictures on a local facebook group and got 200+ replies. The majority including many cleaners commented that it was totally unacceptable as a "end of tenancy cleaning". My wife wrote an formal email last night to the cleaner who's supposed to be the owner of the...
Good evening Ken.
We took pictures and video clips showing the problems and sent to them. in some cases the surface dirt/dust could be removed with finger tip. Still, they refused to come back. Having a face to face meeting seems not an option to these people.
It's a house cleaning service trader. I paid half of the money when they started to clean my new empty house this afternoon, and was to pay the rest when it was finished. I do not live there and had to do some work elsewhere so I left them doing their job. After about two hours they messaged me...
Thanks for your comments. But I think I misunderstood your question, actually the proposed garage door line is 3m to the drive way shared with my neighbour to the left(together with them we are at the end of the close). That means if i move the door forward only a small car like a smart can fit...
My house has an attached garage whose door is set back from the front roof line as shown in the picture. The proposed change is to build a side wall and move the garage door forward but not exceeding the edge of the existing wall between the garage area and the main entrance. The enlarged garage...
Thanks John. I am going to physically remove the wiring from the load side of pull switch on ceiling. I guess this should be considered safe, is that correct? Do you recommend removing the wiring from CU as well? or just leave the CU side as is (but switch it OFF)?
I am wondering if I need building control permission to remove an electric shower in my bathroom...I am not going to replace it or alter the installation, I just want to remove it completely. Does anyone know that?
Thanks,
Chang
