Stuart Turner Universal Monsoon Pressure Vessel

Thanks guys, can't imagine how the average homeowner deals with this, unless they live with the pump cycling on its own. Good to know I don't need to connect a permanent compressor

Stuart Turner Universal Monsoon Pressure Vessel

Having discovered a couple of years ago, what happens to the pump when the pressure vessel has lost its pressure over time (pump starts on its own and runs for a few seconds) I fitted a new pressure vessel. I was unable to find a leak in the old unit. Two years down the road and I had to...

External Hardwood Door Frame - Size Adjustment

Thank you for your response. If I remove the 10mm, I will still have 35mm frame depth at the door face and 45mm depth at the widest point. I think this will leave the frame strong enough. Best regards

External Hardwood Door Frame - Size Adjustment

I have a Howdens hardwood external door frame and door that need to be made 20mm narrower to fit the brick opening. I'm torn between simply taking 10 mm off the sides of the frame or carry out some carpentry on the joints and reduce the door and frame size by 20mm. This is more work, but does...

We currently have two Siemens 12 year old built in ovens, one a microwave combo and the other a conventional oven. They have been excellent products and we are considering replacing with new Siemens/Neff equivalent models. There is nothing wrong with ovens, just a desire to buy the next 12 years...

Bathroom Cabinet - Mirror attacked by chemicals?

Five years ago we refurbished two bathrooms to high specification and fitted two Swiss Schneider Graceline cabinets. These are not cheap at well over a grand each. Since installing these, we have experienced a high level of mirror door edge deterioration. One cabinet is now on its third set of...

Bosch Siemens Dishwasher - design life question

Hi all We have a ten year old Bosch Siemens SE65T390GB integrated dishwasher that I would estimate has run for approx 3,500 wash cycles. It started to leak at the door seal which is an easy fix. I have started to research getting a new model in case it has reached a point of being unreliable or...

    Additional radiators (thread moved)

Thank you Terry for taking the time to reply. The boiler is OK, locating and accessing the manifold is a different matter, hence the cheeky thought of piggybacking off of a rad supply. Assuming temperature, pressue and flow rates through the 10mm is constant, is there a specification of BTU's...

    Additional radiators (thread moved)

Hi all, Apologies for parading my ignorance and if this is already covered elsewhere in the forum. I would like to run a pipe from my hall radiator through to the newly converted garage to living space. The existing rad is fed by 10mm pipework. Can anyone tell me how many BTU's or radiators a...

Mayfair M2000 Water Softener - reset procedure

Some research has found this and many other water softeners use the Fleck 5600SXT control valve water purifying system. These appear to be used extensively in the USA, all the service information is available online and Youtube has some useful set-up and maintenance information.

Mayfair M2000 Water Softener - reset procedure

Hi all, I have a five year old water softener as above which has stopped working properly. The counter that shows the litres of water the machine can pass through before regenerating is increasing rather than decreasing to zero as it should, then regenerating. The service due icon is also...

    Siemens American Fridge/Freezer KA58NP90GB/07

Hi guys, Our fridge/freezer requires a new water control valve. Bosch have sent me a triple valve part no 00751025. On fitting the replacement I discover this is the wrong part. They should have sent me a double valve part no 00497830. The parts have a lot of similarities and it occurred to me...
