Filling a hole in Wimpy no Fines wall to redrill

Yea, I used a smaller drill than recommended and it worked well.

Filling a hole in Wimpy no Fines wall to redrill

I got the dewalt drill in the end, has no problem getting through the wall but it's a big awkward drilling a clean hole due to the nature of the wall. Managed to get the bracket fitted in new holes slightly lower so the hole I made before (it would have been behind the telly and I will fill it...

Filling a hole in Wimpy no Fines wall to redrill

I was almost going to get the dewalt one from RayGrahams but now I am worried if it will be up to the job.

Filling a hole in Wimpy no Fines wall to redrill

I was reading this thread that was saying the big heavy powerful drills are overkill and can actually make a job more difficult so now I am wondering if this one would be more suitable: https://www.screwfix.com/p/mac-allister-msrh600-2-6kg-electric-sds-plus-drill-220-240v/994fy It's less...

Filling a hole in Wimpy no Fines wall to redrill

Would this be any good? https://www.screwfix.com/p/titan-ttb653sds-5-9kg-electric-sds-plus-drill-230-240v/6846h As I assume this would be too lightweight: https://www.screwfix.com/p/energer-enb569drl-2-6kg-electric-sds-plus-drill-230-240v/15456

Filling a hole in Wimpy no Fines wall to redrill

I am strange, I don't have and sds drill no. I must admit I didn't really realise what the difference was.

Filling a hole in Wimpy no Fines wall to redrill

The hole is that big because I used a chisel as my hammer drill and masonry bit barely got past the plaster. As you have probably guessed I am not all that good at DIY and I've never mixed cement before so I don't know what ratio would be best or would it not matter too much?

Filling a hole in Wimpy no Fines wall to redrill

Hi I was hoping someone would know how to help. My house is wimpy no fines (https://www.bisfhouse.com/wimpey-no-fines-in-situ-concrete-house/) so the external walls are loads of decent-sized pebbles and gaps. This means drilling into them is a pain in the arse and something I haven't tried much...

    Replacing a Honeywell T40 thermostat.

Ah, Sorry After D_Hailsham mentioned a wired one should work I did say I was now looking at the RT500. I don't really need a wireless stat. Thank you very much for your help.

    Replacing a Honeywell T40 thermostat.

Thanks, the wiring diagram for the RT500 just shows Live and Switched live and an earth parking dooda: Which looks to be what I currently have.

    Replacing a Honeywell T40 thermostat.

Thanks all. It seems to work :? So do I have a live, neutral and earth or is the blue actually a switched live? I have looked at the wiring for the Salus RT500 (non wireless one) and it needs a live and a switched live so if that is what I have there then is looks to be a straight swap.

    Replacing a Honeywell T40 thermostat.

The one I have assumed is earth is wired to a terminal with the earth symbol on it, the other two are numbered. I wouldn't be surprised it the bloke who did it hasn't done it properly tbh as he wasn't the best. I'll grab a photo when I get home.

    Replacing a Honeywell T40 thermostat.

Hi I have a Worcester Greenstar 24i Junior boiler and the mechanical clock on the front no longer keeps time accurately, rather than replacing that clock I was wondering if I could put a programmable thermostat in and use that to control the boiler. At the moment we have a honeywell T40...

    Triton Ivory 2 leaking

Yea, that's what I was thinking if it wasn't easy to repair the part, i.e replace a washer.
