Deciding between drill/driver holster or hook.

It does but those are not that secure if getting knocked or for weird angles. I went with the hook and will see how it works.

Deciding between drill/driver holster or hook.

Hi all. Wondering for those out there that have a toolbelt, what do you use for your 18v drill or driver? I'm buying a tool belt as tired of making holes in my pockets and not being able to carry what I need. Anyway, I'm not sold on a drill holster as it seems like the weight of the battery...

    Advise on concrete breaker

Hi all. Doing an extension at my house and to save money, want to demolish an old garage and related foundation myself. I may not be good at making stuff but breaking stuff I've got a good history of. Anyway, I was going to do what I could with a sledgehammer and then rent a concrete breaker to...

    PIV questions

Thanks for the replies. Really appreciate it. Just a question on what you mentioned above. If it is cold outside (like the cold snap we had before Christmas), will it run at 400w 24 hours a day (costing almost £4 a day)? And if so, is it possible to put a timer on the heater or something similar?

    PIV questions

Hi all I have a couple questions if you don't mind. I've read quite a few posts but haven't seen the answers (please point me to one if I missed it that has the answer). 1. Heated version electricity use. I read that using the PIV in winter can cause the house to get cold, specifically where it...

Easy treatment of stained outside table

Hi all I have an outside wood table that has been treated with a water based stain. I was wondering if there is a simple easy means of annually ensuring protection (not having to sand down but just applying another coat of something clear). Is it possible to treat stained wood? And if so, with...

    Secure shed for driveway

Good point. I won't be able to hide it well without being obvious so I'll have to add the security on the inside (e.g. Some reinforcing panels, etc.). There is already cctv around my house (one of our potplants was stolen and I kinda went overboard) so hopefully that will help deter a bit. I had...

    Secure shed for driveway

Visibility is not an issue as it's down the side of the house. You'll only see it when literally standing in our driveway. Security is an issue which is why I want to secure it a bit more (and looking for advise here). I just don't have place to store the stuff so need something. I will...

    Secure shed for driveway

Well, it doesn't have to be a shed, but I need a place to store a bicycle, pressure washer, roof box and some other odds and ends. What would you suggest?

    Secure shed for driveway

Thanks for the help. It is behind the front of the face so that won't be an issue. I'll just check on sizes.

    Secure shed for driveway

Hmmmmmm.... no I did not. I didn't know shed's needed permission. What next, my kids trampoline? Is it due to being in the front or because it is visible?

    Secure shed for driveway

Hi all I want to put a shed in my driveway as it is wasted space. I was originally just looking for something cheap but then realised it would be a visible target for thieves, so want something I could secure a bit more. I started looking at steel sheds but read on the condensation so ruled that...

Fixing aluminium monkey bars to climbing frame

I got 14swg (approx. 2mm). The tubing feels very strong and I can't imagine a kid bending/denting it, especially while 2m in the air...... although with kids, anything is possible.

Dowling rod wood type for monkey bars?

p.s. I have posted another post asking this question as the title here is now misleading (not using downling rods anymore), but I don't mind the answers coming here. Any help is greatly appreciated :)

Dowling rod wood type for monkey bars?

Really, as little as 10mm is sufficient for the rails to still be sturdy? (I'm not challenging, just shocked that so little is fine) The timber is 70x70mm so the 30mm won't be a problem then. If the bars are loose, wouldn't they rotate and hence not be too good as monkey bars?

Dowling rod wood type for monkey bars?

I got a hole saw, although the closest size is 32mm where the tube is basically 31.75mm, so may not be a tight fit (which I was hoping the wood glue would rectify). Else I can drill 30mm holes and use my dremel to expand..... but that now will be a pain to do on every hole. What depth of hole...

Fixing aluminium monkey bars to climbing frame

Hi all Following on from another discussion, I've got a climbing frame where I want to add some monkey bars. I've got some existing wood that I would prefer to use for the additional side (as it matches the frame perfectly and saves me some bucks) and I have bought some 1-1/4" aluminium tube for...

Dowling rod wood type for monkey bars?

Thanks. Do you think a 1" (25mm) hole in each side will be sufficient? Aluminium tube is 1-1/4". If more is needed, I may have to get additional timber as the one side that exists is only 70x70mm and I'm worried about weakening it. Was thinking of just using wood glue to secure.
