    New UFH floor slab in old house. When to lay screed? Before or after dry line and stairs?

    Hi I have dug out ground floor and put down new slab with steel mesh and DPM etc. Should I have the screed laid before or after dry lining? I can see that it would be beneficial to lay screed after dry lining to save on mess, but I can't help but think there would be gaps between the bottom...

    You need to speak to your local building control office. I removed my chimney myself. Well, I got a roofer to remove the bit above the roof tiles and patch over the hole in the roof. I then removed the entire thing from underside of the tiles right down to the ground. It makes a HELL of a mess...
