    Hello all I am doing a barn conversion. I have an some exposed walls and also exposed stonework in the inglenook fireplace. What should I use to seal the stonework to stop everywhere getting dusty. It is various stones, including sandstone. Thanks Ian

    Hi there The plaster is over plasterboard and a thin coat. Does the percentages over watered emulsion still apply? Thanks Ian

    Beams

    Hi Thanks for replying. The beam over the fireplace is a large unstained bare wood oak The pine beams have never been stained The oak beams are about 200 yrs old and are dark but I dont think they have been stained. Thanks again Ian

    Next question, if anyone can help. I have beams in my barn conversion. What is the best thing to use. I like the shiney look that you sometimes see. Some of the beams are very old pine. Some beams are very old oak. The inglenook beam is new oak. Many thanks Ian

    Hi there Could someone advise me what to prome newlly skimmed walls with. I see there are special primers at DIY stores for Plaster, but someone mentioned just ordinary emulsion. Please help!
