Adding air to Stuart Turner pump

Thanks very much for taking the trouble to do this. Not feeling overly confident as the diagram doesn’t match with our pipework in the airing cupboard. It’s like Spaghetti Junction in there! Are the silver screws the things I should turn to shut off as shown in the first photo? In the second...

Adding air to Stuart Turner pump

For some time our shower pump, which also pumps the bathroom sink taps, has had to be topped up with air every 6 months. Intermittent hesitation of water at the sink and shower, leading to longer periods waiting for the water to come through. ST have said they cannot supply replacement seals as...

Trevi shower temperature tricky to control

Thank you . We have very hard water so certainly could have scaled up although this seems to have happened suddenly so probably failure of valve cartridge I would imagine. Looks like we might be heading for a new shower if we can't get parts. ☹

Trevi shower temperature tricky to control

Bumping. Is it the thermostat that's on the blink or some kind of controller issue? The temp control knob no longer has the control through the temperatures. If the water is too hot and you turn the knob just a few millimetres it is then too cool. Fed up with not enjoying my showers anymore...

Trevi shower temperature tricky to control

Hello all We have a Trevi Moonshadow shower which has suddenly become tricky to control. The knob only needs to be turned a tiny bit and it becomes too cool or too hot. It has always been responsive and easy to select the temperature we prefer. When the water is used downstairs it is affecting...

Stuart Turner pump, on going problem

Positive head. Heating guy came to service our boiler last week and put some air in the pump. We will see what happens.

Stuart Turner pump, on going problem

Sorry, am I being stupid? I don't quite understand. The pump in question is purely for shower and wasbasin taps in bathroom.

Stuart Turner pump, on going problem

If I turn the pump off and turn taps on in bathroom there is very little flow from the taps at all. Is that to be expected when you have a pump on the system? In fact thinking about it, the overall flow from the taps with the pump on isn't what it used to be. Spoke to ST this morning and they...

Stuart Turner pump, on going problem

The problem with my Stuart Turner pump continues ... Sometimes you wait for ages before water comes out of taps (6-10 seconds average) in the bathroom, sometimes it's OK. Have done the air in the system routine but nothing changes. Was considering opening pump up myself but now decided to call...

    Stuart Turner pump problem

Thanks for your reply. We have very hard water. The pump has been in 11 years. No trouble at all but never serviced or touched since fitting. Have watched one of Stuart Turner videos this morning on how to fit new seals etc. Tempted to have a look myself

    Stuart Turner pump problem

We have a Stuart Turner pump misbehaving. When you turn the taps or shower on in the bathroom there has been a hesitation before the water comes out for quite some time. This has now got much worse and it takes about 10 seconds for water to start to flow at the taps. Why is the pump taking time...

    Shower pump issue?

Thanks Rob and Conny. Looks like it was an air problem. I turned off the pump. Ran cold water through the hose (minus shower head) for 5 mins. Turned to hot and ran for 5 mins. Switched off the water running from the shower hose and waited for 30 minutes before switching the pump back on...

    Shower pump issue?

I realise it's not part of CH but he drained the system down to change valves and had all the taps open to do so, without switching pump off. Am I right in thinking the pump has a run dry cut off?

    Shower pump issue?

We recently had heating engineer in to do some work on CH and he drained the system down. Is it possible he did some damage then? Maybe he didn't turn the pump off before hand.

    Shower pump issue?

    Sounds as normal.

    Shower pump issue?

The pump kicks in but the water doesn"t come out immediately as it normally does. As I said, there's a pause of 3 seconds before it comes through.
