    Repainting/repairing our stone lintel thing

Hi opps, thanks for a brilliantly comprehensive answer. I gave it a coat of masonry paint a few years ago (when it was less damaged) so was thinking of the same again rather than gloss. I don't have an orbital sander but this sounds like the perfect excuse to buy one! Great advice on the clear...

    Repainting/repairing our stone lintel thing

Hi, novice DIY guy here After a bit of a 101 on repainting/repairing the stone lintel thing above our front door Am guessing this will involve scraping the flaky bits off first, then filling, sanding and painting, but would appreciate an idea of best tools/products/methods Cheers

    Wanted - toilet hose nozzle

The nozzles break water regulations? Or the whole hose? We had it professionally installed. The hose works fine - just needs a nozzle.

    Wanted - toilet hose nozzle

Got one of those flexible shower hose type toilet hoses. Instead of a gun attachment it just had a small nozzle but that has now been accidentally flushed down the toilet (don't ask, no idea). Looked everywhere online but can't find a replacement nozzle, either separately or as part of a set...

Used oil-based paint on an internal wall instead of emulsion

Hi, a DIY novice here - as you will soon realize Due to circumstances that do not reflect well on me (inexperience, incompetence, general lack of concentration) I have painted the section of our bedroom above the picture rail not with simple emulsion but with oil-based satin internal and...
