    Dry verge on gable end

Having my dry verge sorted as some of the caps keep on blowing off. As it stands there is a 2-3 inch overhang from the wall and it looks like the dry verge has just been screwed into the wet verge and don't even come close to the batterns. Proper cowboy effort by the looks of things. Had a...

Thanks muggles. Presume this is the only stopcock. Thought this may have been the external and would have had an internal as well?

    Stopcock

Any help appreciated. Trying to find stopcock in our house that we have been living in for over a year. Looked everywhere and looks like the cold water feed is coming in from under the sink from what I can make out. The meter is under a panel on adjacent wall is where the conservatory is. I...

    Dry verges

Do you feel a need to cut the tiles back to have the caps flush to the wall. I know it would look a little neater but is there any need?

New upvc coverboard on fascias, new upvc soffits, new gutter and down spout, on the rear of the house(scaffold needed over conservatory) and on gable end we have some dry verge caps loose. The dry verge overhangs the wall about 2...

    Dry verge repair

Tha Cheers for the reply. To be honest we are not sure what they did as we have only recently moved in. What would you advise being the best course of action. Would you just fix the verges back on and maybe full the holes with something?

    Dry verge repair

Wondering if someone could help me with a repair that we need doing on the dry verge of our gable end. We have a couple of holes under the end caps that probably birds have pecked away along with a few loose dry verge caps. Just wondering if this would be an easy fix and a rough price for...

Ok, another follow up. Plumber cam round yesterday and changed PRV and checked expansion vessel. All has been well and pressure rising from 1.5 bar to just under 2 bar when at 80 degrees. Came to look at PRV overflow this morning(tied a bag on it after plumber changed PRV) and found that it...

Well it's pouring out PRV now without getting anywhere near to pressure. So does look like its a gonner . Think valve is stuck open so it's just emptying as fast as filling.

I was playing about with the tvrs on the rads when the heating was on as the ones upstairs are only set to 2 and wanted to see how it would handle it. Gonna give it a few days and if it starts misbehaving will get a rgi out to have a look at it. Don't mind getting my hands dirty but don't want...

    Combi boiler problems

Yes. The flue from the cooker goes adjacent to the boiler flue. The boiler flue has been extended some distance outside and up and away from the other flue. It was mentioned when we bought the place and had it checked and all was deemed ok.

    Combi boiler problems

Looks like it's sorted, touch wood. Emptied the boiler and repressurised expansion vessel to 1 bar. Switched it all on and pressure rose to 2.3 bar with all rads on full belt. Now with system cooling seems to be settling at the 1 bar mark. Just wondering if no further options would it be best...
