    Fixing / replacing Gravel board

Thanks Foxhole, I'd thought of that. I hope to pave it in a year or so time, so want it tidying up. This sounds a good option that will add support to the fence panel and also look more aesthetically pleasing.

    Fixing / replacing Gravel board

That's the idea. As it sticks out and isn't level I want rid of it. The panel is only supported by the concrete posts wedged in and a small brick. So I want to remove the gravel board, add better support ie. Bricks and then cover the bricks with a timber gravel board screwed to the bottom fence...

    Top layer of brick wall.

Have a brick garden wall and the top course has blown and become loose with bits coming off the brick. The brick used has 3 holes in it. Sometime in the future I'd like to remove them and redo. Is this the correct type of brick? I'm assuming water is getting in and frosting causing the brick to...

    Pin hole leak in radiator.

Hi I have a pin hole leak in a radiator that is only 2 years old. New boiler fitter a year and half ago and recently serviced and pressure topped up. I'm assuming this could be the problem as the system wasn't flushed with new boiler. Pressure has now dropped and no hot water or heating...

Best treatment / stain for external beams

Looking to treat and stain external beams on house. These are purely decorative and look a bit weathered now. Doing a bit of research I found delux ultimate and sadolin superdec. The delux I believe is best for smooth timber so superdec it is so far. Will this be OK and do the job, bringing...

Polystyrene used to fill gap - New floor

Thanks. I've read that the infill has to be 225mm below the dpc. This looks like it has been infilled so I need roughly 225mm in height x 1750mm x 750mm twice... (2 French doors) What type? Is there a ready mix I can use. Don't have a mixer or the correct gear but can purchase a few things if...

Polystyrene used to fill gap - New floor

Thanks. Just doing a bit of research myself How about a cavity closure? Obviously I can't install the lip under the door frame now and but I can with the block work but the block work seems to protrude to high to the rest of the floor so a screed will be uneven or have to be over 100mm thick...

Polystyrene used to fill gap - New floor

Or is this the cavity in the cavity wall? Either way, I'm assuming this will need filling somehow to enable a screed and support for the floor.

Polystyrene used to fill gap - New floor

Have just taken old engineered wood floor up ready for screeding and new floor to be fitted. The room is an extension. However on the outside wall, we have french doors and whoever built extension seems to have left a gap from what looks like block work to the doors and filled the gap with...

    Used Engineered flooring

Replacing flush valve or cable in consealed unit.

Flush on toilet keeps sticking. The button stays in and may sometimes pop out on its on but when stuck in a constant trickle of water is happening. When I take cable off from push button the cable stays in the flushed position so something is not releasing it. I'm struggling to find access to...
