    That troll broke my arm!

I recently fell off, no I fell with my bike as my foot was trapped in the pedal. Kerb broke my fall... and my hip.

I use a right angled drill adapter for tight spaces. Got one from Machine Mart but the gears were made from cheese. Got another from Screwfix which has given good service...

As a serial bodger I might consider using a different trap, maybe a P trap, and run the waste straight through the centre of that joist. Then If the hole size was larger than allowed for joist depth or hole position, I would tie the joist to the wall to lend support. Just ideas...

At least you don't claim to be correct, but now you are suggesting that trans gender people are sexual deviants. That's about unacceptable sexual practices... Don't confuse trans gender with transvestites or cross dressers either. It's really not fair.

Did you make up that definition of maleness yourself? Just Google 'female prostate'

Sounds like you are condemning all trans-gender people as being unfit to be near kids. What's your reasoning behind that?

    That's uninformed ignorant nonsense.

I haven't been on here in quite a while but I looked in to see if there was anything about the tragic death of Lucy Meadows who took her own life after being targeted by the Daily Mail and the odious Richard Littlejohn. Before this tragedy I posted critical comment against the original article...

    Biasi Riva Advance no CH.

Yeah it has a diddy digital timeclock which has never been touched, never been used, because we have a programable room stat... Goes off to look at timeclock and finds the blighter had turned itself off. Press button and whoosh we're back on! It's never done that before and we have had...

    Biasi Riva Advance no CH.

Hi, hope someone can help. Model is M110.32SM/C, a few years old. Came home this evening to a cold house and a lifeless boiler but found that the mains plug had been dislodged and wasn't making contact properly. When it was plugged in properly the boiler came back to life for hot water which was...

Whirlpool AWM 820 won't fill or empty.

And there's more! It did one wash ok, but during the second one the bloomin drum stopped turning. No wash, no spin. The death sentence was pronounced by swmbo, on the machine not me, and a next day deadline was set for point of no return. Fix it next day or it's gone... Drive...

Whirlpool AWM 820 won't fill or empty.

When I opened it up I found that one of the wires feeding the pump had fractured at the connector. Fixed that in five mins, happy days! The filling problem was due to the interlock. When I checked the switch for continuity it was intermittent then failed completely, one hell of a coincidence...

Whirlpool AWM 820 won't fill or empty.

Thanks but it's not that rocks1. There's no water in the drum, I did say that it wouldn't fill after I drained it. I nursed it through a few rinse cycles to get the washing finished by pouring in clean water through the door for rinsing and then draining by lowering the waste hose. It'll...

Whirlpool AWM 820 won't fill or empty.

Hi Guys. I wonder if anyone can help? This started with finding the old machine sitting quietly with the drum still full of dirty water long after a wash cycle should have finished. Didn't seem like it was going to be a major problem but after draining it I found that it wouldn't fill either...

    WRONG SIZE TYRE???

Both tyres fitted on an axle must be the same size. The only exception is skinny spacesave spares which are clearly marked with a speed limit and for temporary use only. Post up the sizes of your tyres and the spare.

Peugeot 206 rear brake locked on.

Didn't even occur to me to look for rivetted linings. I was quite fed up at that point and we just got replacement shoes from the nearest factor. (The replacement drum was a used one that a neighbour had lying around. Stroke of luck there!)

Peugeot 206 rear brake locked on.

Ended up destroying the drum and bearing with an angle grinder to get it off. It wouldn't budge with a puller, even after I split the drum to release its grip and got it turning. Linings were detached from the shoes
