Thanks for your help guys. Am gonna get it serviced and sorted asap. Glad its not gonna cost a crazy amount to fix. Don't really know much about boilers etc. So how often should they be serviced etc. Yearly???

Just read the servie manual, looks like i will have call an engineer out to get it fixed, I can open the cover etc. but i dont fancy removing the burner to change the insulation (according to the service manual). Thanks for your help. p.s is the leak the reason why i have to keep topping...

Thanks gstens baxi. I guessing from your post that the crack/hole is relatively harmless and I just need to get the insulation fixed, or am i reading too much into it.
